NEW TRACK | JACK LARSEN - "ATTACK"

The Illinois boy dropped a short (but sweet) track about being down on his luck.

“Attack” opens up over-top a simple piano riff that leads into a quirky chorus about using marijuana to deal with paranoia. The interesting use of violin in the chorus delivers hair raising tendencies and is a common characteristic of Jack’s music. His ability in mixing unconventional instrumentation with hip-hop based production is uncanny. As we get towards the second chorus, Jack introduces a smooth build-up of percussion and harmonies before the extremely catchy chorus plays out again, this time, over a more bubbly beat. The playful video that was released with this track features Jack and his friends dancing in what appears to be a closet while singing karaoke style with the song.

“Attack” could relate to an attack of paranoia due to stress and anxiety built up from the lack of money, as money is typically a large factor when it comes to mental health and stability. The song, although short, is very enjoyable with the potential to be relatable while keeping with a light-hearted mood for those serious blues.
